The Shopify Plus analogy matters because it shows how a cheap self serve tool can become much more valuable once its best customers start running real businesses and need higher touch software. Shopify used Plus to move from serving small sellers to serving larger brands with more staff, more workflow complexity, and more money at stake. For Linktree, the parallel is a creator tier built for teams, approvals, CRM, analytics, and monetization ops rather than just links on a page.
