This jump shows Helsing stopped selling experiments and started selling programs that slot into real defense budgets. Early work in 2021 through 2022 was small software and integration work that let ministries test AI on existing sensors and command systems. By 2023, Helsing was being pulled into multi year upgrade paths on real platforms like Eurofighter, where revenue is larger because the company is paid not just to prove the software works, but to integrate it, certify it, and support deployment over several budget cycles.

  • The product shape matters here. Governments in Germany, France, and the U.K. can buy a domestic AI layer for sensitive systems instead of relying fully on U.S. vendors, which makes Helsing more likely to win national modernization programs as Europe expands defense spending.

The next phase is bigger and more durable contracts as Helsing moves from software inside someone else's platform to a mix of software, manufacturing, and long term fleet support. If that continues, revenue will increasingly track European rearmament programs and parliamentary procurement approvals, not startup style pilot wins.
