The Nokia link turns NestAI into a software led prime contractor without forcing it to build radios, drones, or battlefield hardware itself. NestAI can sell the AI layer that plans missions, fuses sensor data, and controls autonomous systems, while Nokia supplies the secure communications backbone that defense buyers already need for command, control, and procurement approval. That bundle makes a small software company look like a complete operational system, not a narrow point product.

  • This is a familiar defense startup playbook. Helsing won major aircraft programs by plugging AI software into Saab platforms, including Gripen flight tests in June 2025 and a Eurofighter electronic warfare deal announced on November 19, 2025. The startup supplied the intelligence layer, while Saab brought the aircraft, sensors, and defense distribution.
