would represent a step-change in Lambda's capacity trajectory.

A 350MW Texas site would move Lambda from adding single facilities to operating at hyperscaler scale. The current pipeline in Kansas City, Chicago, Atlanta, and Los Angeles adds capacity in the tens of MW. A single 350MW deployment would be several times larger than those projects combined, big enough to support the kind of long duration training clusters and anchor customer contracts that have powered CoreWeave and Crusoe's jump into the top tier of GPU cloud providers.1 2 3 4

  • Lambda's recent sites are meaningful but still modular. The Kansas City AI Factory is 24MW at launch with room to expand past 100MW. EdgeConneX adds more than 30MW across Chicago and Atlanta. Prime's LAX01 lease adds 21MW. Against that baseline, 350MW is not an incremental add, it resets the size of the companys capacity base.1 2
  • The strategic shift is already visible in the customer mix. Lambda moved away from selling hardware and self serve inference, then signed large multi year deployments with NVIDIA and Microsoft. A 350MW site fits that model because it is built for a few very large tenants running dense training jobs, not thousands of small developers spinning up short bursts of compute.2 5
  • The closest comparables are Crusoe and CoreWeave, not smaller developer focused GPU clouds. Crusoe's Abilene campus expanded toward 700MW live by December 2026, while CoreWeave scaled to 33 facilities and 250,000 plus GPUs. That is the level where data center access becomes the bottleneck and where the market rewards providers that can secure land, power, cooling, and financing at massive scale.3 4 5

If Lambda lands the Texas project, the next phase is less about proving demand and more about converting power into contracted revenue faster than rivals. That would push Lambda further into direct competition for frontier lab and hyperscaler workloads, and make its future valuation depend on execution as a large scale infrastructure operator rather than as a developer friendly GPU cloud.2 3 4
