Shiprocket is hardest to replace when it stops being just a shipping tab and becomes the place an Indian merchant runs daily operations. A seller can import orders, choose among many courier partners, store inventory in Shiprocket warehouses, use its checkout flow, and tap working capital from the same system. That turns shipping volume into data, and data into more products, which deepens retention and raises revenue per merchant.

  • The bundle is already shifting the business mix. Domestic shipping was about 80% of revenue in 2024, while newer lines like cross-border, checkout, and fulfillment reached about 20% and grew 85% YoY. That shows the operating system pitch is becoming a real revenue engine, not just a product story.
  • This matters in India because merchants face problems global tools do not solve well, like messy addresses, cash on delivery, and high return to origin rates. Shiprocket started as a courier aggregator across 17 plus partners and 26,000 plus pin codes, then layered software and services on top to reduce failed deliveries and keep merchants inside one workflow.
  • The clearest comparison is Delhivery. Delhivery built a large logistics network and later launched Delhivery One for SMEs, but Shiprocket goes further into merchant software, including checkout, fulfillment, and financing. That gives Shiprocket more ways to monetize a small seller than a carrier platform that mostly sells shipping.

The next leg is turning merchant usage into a tighter loop between logistics, payments, and credit. As more sellers run checkout, fulfillment, and shipping in one place, Shiprocket gets better data on demand, conversion, and delivery performance. That should make underwriting, cross sell, and merchant retention stronger, and push the platform closer to being core commerce infrastructure for Indian SMBs.
