Genspark is best understood as an orchestration layer sitting on top of other companies' intelligence, which means a large part of its cost base and product quality is controlled outside the company. Its Super Agent routes tasks across GPT-4, Claude, Gemini, and DeepSeek, and that multi model design improves output quality and cost efficiency, but it also leaves Genspark exposed if a key model provider changes pricing, rate limits, or access terms.

The product is built to depend on outside models at the core workflow level, not just as a backup. Genspark says its coordinator breaks a request into sub tasks and sends them to specialized models, so model access is part of how slides, spreadsheets, research, and voice features actually get produced.

This is a common pattern for fast moving AI application companies. Manus similarly combines browser control, deep research, and many third party tools into one agent product, and Hebbia describes using a model router across OpenAI, Anthropic, and Gemini to preserve flexibility. The upside is speed to market. The downside is supplier power staying with the labs.

The financial exposure is real because model vendors can change the economics underneath the app. OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google all publish token based pricing and premium charges for more advanced or long context use, which means gross margin can move if Genspark has to route more tasks to the strongest models to stay competitive.
Over time, the winners in agentic productivity will try to reduce this dependency by pushing more work to cheaper models, adding on device inference, and building proprietary routing, memory, and workflow layers that users cannot easily replace. For Genspark, the path to stronger margins is not owning the best base model, it is owning the task graph above the models.
