The real bottleneck in FPV warfare is no longer airframe supply, it is whether a drone can still finish the attack after the radio link starts to fail. TAF’s Last Mile module matters because it shifts value from the cheap quadcopter itself to the guidance stack at the final few hundred meters, where jamming, spoofing, and target movement decide whether a mission succeeds or misses.

  • TAF has already turned this into a product layer, not just an in house feature. Its Last Mile module uses day, night, and thermal imaging to lock onto static or moving targets, and it can be sold as an upgrade for third party drones, which creates recurring demand as more units try to retrofit existing FPV fleets for jammed environments.
  • The competitive bar is moving fast because rivals are attacking the same problem from different angles. KrattWorks builds drones that can navigate home when GPS and radio links are severed, while newer Ukrainian systems are using fiber optic control links that avoid radio jamming altogether, reducing the advantage of any one anti jamming approach.
  • TAF has responded by broadening beyond a single drone model. It has built a holding structure across FPV production, EW, reconnaissance, and software, including acquiring a majority stake in EW specialist Kvazar, which gives it tighter control over the cat and mouse loop between offensive drones and the systems designed to blind or stop them.

The next phase of this market will reward companies that can update guidance, sensing, and countermeasure logic as quickly as consumer apps ship software. TAF is positioned to win if Last Mile becomes a standard module across many drone types, because battlefield demand is shifting from simple low cost airframes to drones that can keep seeing, deciding, and striking inside dense electronic warfare.
