Jobber Undercuts ServiceTitan Pricing
ServiceTitan
Jobber is not trying to beat ServiceTitan feature for feature, it is using simpler software and much lower pricing to win smaller contractors before they need a heavier system. Jobber centers the basic daily loop of quoting, scheduling, invoicing, and collecting payment for home service businesses, while ServiceTitan layers on technician tablets, proposal tools, payments, inventory, and add on products that help larger operators squeeze more revenue from each truck and each call.

The price gap maps to a product gap. In residential service, ServiceTitan has been built around in field selling and card payment at the job site, with pricing described at roughly $5k to $10k per truck or team per month. That makes sense for bigger HVAC, plumbing, and electrical shops that want every technician carrying an iPad and closing bigger tickets on site.

Jobber comes from the lower end of the market, where the owner often just needs one system to keep customer records, send quotes, book jobs, invoice, and get paid. Its revenue reached $150M in 2023, versus ServiceTitan at $577M in 2023, showing that the lighter weight product has grown into a real scaled wedge rather than a niche tool for very small operators.
-
The split is also partly residential versus commercial. ServiceTitan started in residential trades, while BuildOps and others have gone after commercial workflows where the person requesting service is often not the one paying, and contractors may have to update multiple systems. That fragmentation leaves room for lower cost SMB tools on one side and more specialized software on the other.
The next phase is a ladder. As contractors grow from owner operator shops into multi crew businesses, the winner will be the platform that keeps them from switching by adding payments, financing, marketing, and industry specific workflows over time. Jobber is moving up from simple back office software, while ServiceTitan is defending its lead by bundling more ways to raise revenue per customer.
