Monday's Go-to-Market Advantage

Diving deeper into

Interview
Monday has a stronger go to market across marketing, sales, and channel relative to the rest of our competitors.

This is really a claim about distribution quality, not just product quality. Monday won by getting in front of more buyers, converting more of that interest through self serve and sales, and then turning customer demand into a broader partner machine. In practice that means stronger paid acquisition, better SMB and mid market expansion, and a channel program that now gives monday.com another path into accounts beyond its own reps.

  • Monday built unusually broad top of funnel reach. By the end of 2024 it served about 245,000 customers across 200 plus industries and countries, and management still points to web search as an important traffic source. That fits the picture of a company that scaled paid and digital acquisition earlier and more effectively than peers.
  • The difference versus Asana shows up in customer mix. In the interview, Monday is described as stronger in SMB and mid market land and expand, while Asana has leaned harder into large enterprise and reported momentum in customers spending over $100,000 and in multi year deals. That is a classic tradeoff between volume efficient growth and fewer very large strategic deals.
  • Channel is increasingly part of Monday's edge, not an afterthought. Monday said in 2025 that it had more than 270 solution partners globally, up 24% year over year. ClickUp, by contrast, said channel was about 5% of its mix, which helps explain why Monday is seen as further ahead in building partner driven distribution.

Going forward, work management will look more like a distribution contest wrapped around a converging product set. Monday is best positioned if it keeps compounding paid acquisition, sales efficiency, and partner coverage at the same time. Asana can keep winning oversized enterprise deals, but Monday has the broader machine to keep taking share across the middle of the market.
