Erebor as Transaction Bank for Stablecoins
Erebor
The real upside is not more startup accounts, it is becoming the bank layer that makes global dollar movement programmable. If Erebor can hold the operating account, connect to a foreign bank, and move value onto stablecoin rails for round the clock settlement, it starts to look less like a niche venture bank and more like a transaction bank for cross border tech, payments, and trading flows. That expands revenue from deposit spread into fees tied to settlement, treasury movement, and reserve operations.

The important step is bundling services that are usually split apart. A foreign company might keep U.S. dollar deposits at Erebor, receive funds through a correspondent bank, then use Erebor to move dollars into on chain payment or treasury workflows without adding a separate crypto infrastructure vendor. That makes the bank relationship operational, not just custodial.
-
There is a clear comparable in banks like Column and Cross River. Their advantage comes from putting charter, ledger, payment rails, and APIs in one system, so customers integrate once instead of stitching together sponsor banks and middleware. Erebor is applying that same integrated model to stablecoin settlement and crypto aware treasury workflows.

The strategic race is against larger institutions moving the same direction. J.P. Morgan says Kinexys has processed more than $1.5T and is piloting a USD deposit token for near instant, 24 7 settlement, while BNY has launched a reserves fund for stablecoin issuers. That validates the market, but it also means Erebor has to win customers before incumbents package these tools inside existing global banking relationships.
Going forward, the market is likely to separate into software layers that move stablecoins and regulated banks that anchor reserves, dollar accounts, and final settlement. Erebor has the chance to become that bank layer for cross border operators that need always on dollar access, especially where ordinary ACH, SWIFT, and weekday banking windows still break the workflow.
