Finding reliable financial data about private companies remains challenging—particularly in the United States. However, in the UK, across Europe, India, South America and more, private companies are required to make regular and detailed financial filings that are made public via government registries.

The problem is that in working with those registries first hand, we’ve experienced the frustration of spending countless hours hunting through different government websites to find and buy the relevant filings.

That's why we built Sacra Filings—to bring together private company governmental financial filings into one place and save the hassle for investors, founders, analysts and operators.

We figure out how to use each government’s website, which filing to get and how to buy and download it, and we bring it all into Sacra, for you to work with via API and Excel.

For the first set of filings, we started with the UK because the UK government makes those filings free, it has an API and we’ve gotten comfortable working with the filings there for our existing coverage for companies like Snyk, Monzo, Revolut, OnlyFans and more.

This is just the beginning. We have a robust ingestion engine that will allow us to rapidly expand our coverage across additional government registries and geographies worldwide.

We anticipate continuing to add to our UK coverage (both current and historical), while expanding within Europe and to India.

Keep in mind that rather than go wide on covering 2M+ companies, our coverage universe remains the 2,000 most important growth and pre-IPO technology startups—and we intend to go much deeper on those than anyone else.
