The next step is convergence around one platform for VMs, containers, and AI clusters. As VMware customers renew contracts and modernize unevenly, the winners will be platforms that let old apps keep running while new workloads move onto Kubernetes and bare metal, then layer governance, security, and GPU operations on top.
