TransUnion Brands Credit Sesame Platform
Credit Sesame
This partnership shows that Credit Sesame’s strongest asset is no longer just its own app, it is the consumer workflow it can rent to much larger data owners. In practice, TransUnion now puts its own brand on a free credit score, report, monitoring, premium upsells, and tailored financial offers, while Credit Sesame supplies the app layer, offer engine, and product management underneath. That proves the platform is valuable, but it also moves the consumer relationship closer to the bureau that already controls the data supply.

The February 13, 2025 launch made the structure explicit. TransUnion said the experience would live on TransUnion’s website and app, use TransUnion data, and be rolled out through the first half of 2025. Credit Sesame’s role was to develop and manage the product platform, mobile app, and integrated financial offers network.
-
That changes the bargaining balance. Credit Sesame historically depended on TransUnion as its main bureau feed for the free product, and now the same supplier also owns the top level brand and traffic source for a similar freemium experience. The bureau can keep the user, the data, the premium subscription, and the lender relationship under one roof.
-
It also validates the B2B expansion path. AddSesame and the TransUnion deployment show that Credit Sesame can sell a turnkey credit wellness stack to banks, card issuers, neobanks, employers, and property tech platforms that want a branded credit experience without building one themselves. That is a bigger market than fighting for app installs one consumer at a time.
The next phase is likely a race over who captures the lasting economics of embedded credit wellness. If bureaus and large financial brands keep using Credit Sesame as the software layer, the company can become the infrastructure behind many branded experiences. If those partners internalize the product layer over time, the bureau owned surface becomes the template that compresses Credit Sesame’s share of value.
