The small workcell footprint shows that Reframe is not trying to win by building one giant factory, it is trying to win by making home production modular enough to drop into ordinary warehouses near demand. That matters because the bottleneck in housing is rarely just framing speed, it is capital, permitting, freight, and skilled labor coordination. A 500 square foot cell that costs about $200,000 can be added one step at a time, instead of betting tens of millions on a single fixed line.

  • Traditional prefab lines are built around long conveyor style flows and large room sized modules, which pushes up building size, equipment spend, and handling complexity. Reframe keeps production at the panel level for most of the process, so parts can be stacked, racked, trucked, and moved through the factory with much less space and heavier automation only where it pays off.
