Beehiiv Unifies Newsletters Web and Podcasts
Beehiiv
Podcasting turns Beehiiv from an email tool with add ons into a true creator operating system. A publisher can now write the newsletter, host the website, upload an episode, send it to Apple Podcasts and Spotify, and sell subscriptions or ads from one dashboard. That matters because Beehiiv already makes meaningful revenue from monetization tools, so adding audio gives creators one more reason to keep audience, content, and revenue flows inside the same stack.1 2 3 4
- The product workflow is concrete. Beehiiv says creators can launch or migrate a show, upload episodes, distribute to major podcast apps, share episodes to subscribers, and track growth in one place. That removes the usual split between an email platform, a website builder, and a separate podcast host.2 5
- This also fits Beehiiv’s business model. By June 2025, about one third of Beehiiv’s revenue came from its ad network and Boosts marketplace, not just software subscriptions. Podcasts add more inventory for sponsorship and more audience data that can feed those same monetization rails.1 3
- The competitive line is becoming clearer. Substack also offers native podcast hosting and uses podcasts inside its app and discovery network, while Kit is building a broader creator OS through apps and studios. Beehiiv’s angle is tighter operational bundling and 0% revenue take, which makes it the higher margin home for creators already running newsletters as businesses.4 6 7 8
The next step is for audio to become another growth and monetization surface inside Beehiiv, not a side feature. As more creators run newsletters, websites, automations, ads, and podcasts together, the winning platform will be the one that makes every new format increase retention and revenue across the rest of the stack.1 2 3 6
