The real threat is not better AI alone, it is the incumbents selling AI as one line item inside a much bigger building deal. Phaidra plugs into existing control systems and improves how equipment is run, but Honeywell, Siemens, and Johnson Controls can pair similar optimization software with the building management system, installation, service contracts, and funding that lets customers pay from future energy savings instead of new budget approvals.
