Anduril Leads Golden Dome Consortium

This shows Anduril trying to become the software prime for a brand new missile defense stack, not just another component supplier. In a space based interceptor program, the hardest part is not only building a vehicle that can move in orbit, it is tying sensing, tracking, command software, and the interceptor itself into one chain that can spot a threat, decide what to launch, and execute fast enough. Anduril is assembling that chain around Lattice and around partners that already cover key pieces of the orbital workflow.1 2 3 4

• The consortium is concrete, not conceptual. Anduril said on May 5, 2026 that it is on contract to develop, test, and deliver solutions for the U.S. Space Force Space Based Interceptor program with Impulse Space, Inversion Space, K2 Space, Sandia National Laboratories, and Voyager Technologies. That makes Anduril the coordinator of a multi company bid rather than only a subsystem vendor.1 2
• Impulse helps explain why these partners matter. Its Mira vehicle already supports maneuvering, proximity operations, hosted payloads, and can run with Anduril software onboard. In practice, that means Anduril can plug its autonomy, edge compute, infrared payloads, and battle management software into a flight capable spacecraft instead of starting from a blank sheet.3 4
• The bigger pattern is Anduril extending Lattice from ground and air defense into orbit. The ExoAnalytic acquisition added a 400 telescope surveillance network, and the company already has Army missile defense battle manager work. Golden Dome pulls those pieces together into a higher value role where Anduril can own the command layer while partners provide vehicles, buses, and mission hardware.2 4 5

If Golden Dome moves from prototype to program of record, the winners are likely to be the companies that make space assets work like one coordinated weapon system instead of isolated spacecraft. That favors Anduril, because each new orbital sensor, maneuver vehicle, or interceptor added to the network increases the value of the command software sitting in the middle.1 2 4
