Offering private cloud and behind the firewall deployment is what turns an AI search tool from an interesting demo into something a bank, asset manager, or corporate strategy team can actually buy. Enterprise Intelligence only works if customers let the product index internal memos, notes, slide decks, and shared drives. The deployment model removes the biggest blocker, which is fear that sensitive research or deal material leaves the company’s control.

  • In practice, the product becomes a secure connector layer. AlphaSense says Enterprise Intelligence can connect to SharePoint, Google Drive, Box, Notion, S3, and other repositories through one way integrations, so a user can search internal files alongside premium external research in one place.
  • This matters most for the highest value buyers. Internal research was built as a major upsell path from the core SaaS product, and larger enterprise contracts reached $50K to $100K+ with some over $1M, because the platform expands from a single research seat into a company wide knowledge layer.
  • The competitive backdrop is familiar across enterprise AI. Customers in financial services and corporates want auditability, security, APIs, and tenant isolation. AlphaSense explicitly positions Enterprise Intelligence around secure integrations and says client uploaded content and queries are not used to train models across customers.

The direction of travel is clear. Secure deployment will keep becoming table stakes, while the real prize is owning the search and reasoning layer that sits on top of a company’s private knowledge and outside market data. Vendors that clear security review fastest will win the right to grow from research software into core enterprise infrastructure.
