Valur

Company Report
Schwab clients, giving it enterprise distribution that Valur cannot easily replicate at its current scale.

Schwab changes Wealth.com from a software vendor into a default choice inside one of the biggest advisor distribution pipes in U.S. wealth management. That matters because enterprise distribution in this market is less about winning one advisor at a time, and more about getting approved by a custodian, rolled out to large firms, and embedded in the tools advisors already use. Wealth.com now enters tax planning with estate credibility, a broad advisor base, and a path into Schwab client workflows, while Valur is still building through a much smaller partner network and specialist use cases.

  • Schwab said in 2025 that, alongside its strategic investment, it was developing ways to offer Wealth.com estate planning tools to Schwab clients. With Schwab reporting 36.9 million active brokerage accounts and $10.28T in client assets as of February 28, 2025, even partial distribution is meaningful.
  • Wealth.com is not entering tax from zero. It launched its tax planning product on January 27, 2026 as part of a platform that ties tax planning to estate documents, trust provisions, reporting, and execution workflows. That makes it easier for a large RIA to buy one system for both planning jobs.
  • Valur has depth where enterprise platforms are still thinner. It handles strategy discovery, trust setup, account opening support, and ongoing administration such as K-1 production and payment tracking, and it says it currently works with 100 plus advisor and CPA partners. That is useful reach, but not custodian scale.

Going forward, the market is likely to split between broad workflow platforms that win on distribution and specialist operators that win on hard cases. Wealth.com is pushing toward system of record status inside large advisor channels. Valur's path is to become indispensable for complex trusts, QSBS, and post setup administration that enterprise platforms still do not handle deeply.
