The important shift is that device intelligence becomes a revenue protection tool, not just a fraud tool. When a SaaS app, media subscription, or AI product loses money to free trial farming, coupon loops, account sharing, or SMS pumping, the owner is usually a product, growth, or marketing team that pays for user acquisition and promotional spend. A stable device ID lets them see that many supposed new users are actually the same operator cycling through new accounts, emails, or phone numbers.
