Zapier’s SEO lead is not just a marketing win, it changes the shape of competition by making Zapier the default starting point for anyone who searches how to connect two apps. That creates a flywheel where more integration pages bring more buyers, more buyers attract more partners, and more partners create even more pages. Make can still win on product depth and price, but it is fighting uphill against a discovery moat that Zapier has been compounding since the early 2010s.

  • Zapier turned every new app into a huge batch of search pages. In prior research, each added app effectively spawned thousands of indexable integration combinations, which helped push Zapier to 6M plus monthly visitors and tens of thousands of top Google rankings.
