Robinhood turned its EU crypto app into an all in one investing app with stock and ETF tokens, while Kraken placed xStocks directly inside Kraken Pro next to crypto, ETFs, and derivatives. The user does not need to learn a new venue or move cash to a specialist platform.

That creates a split market. Generalist exchanges are likely to win consumer trading flow because they already own attention and liquidity, while specialists like tZERO can win issuer workflows and regulated market plumbing because transfer agency, compliance rules, and custody permissions are much harder to bolt on later.
The market is heading toward two layers. Large exchanges will front end tokenized equities to retail users, and infrastructure firms like tZERO will compete to power issuance, compliance, custody, and settlement underneath. As tokenized securities move from pilot products to full capital markets rails, the most durable position will come from owning regulated workflow that others cannot easily replicate.
