That makes RunPod a wider funnel than pure marketplaces or pure enterprise GPU clouds.

Community Cloud and Secure Cloud are priced differently on the same catalog, which makes the split concrete. Current public pricing shows examples like RTX 4090 at $0.34 per hour in Community Cloud versus $0.69 in Secure Cloud, and A100 PCIe at $1.19 versus $1.64. The lower tier wins cost sensitive workloads, while the secure tier monetizes buyers paying for controls and reliability.

The customer workflow changes with company maturity. Early teams care about GPU variety, fast setup, and only paying when a request runs. One RunPod customer used serverless for both inference and fine tuning because workloads were bursty, and chose RunPod partly because it had many VRAM sizes and simple endpoint monitoring that non specialists on the team could use.
