The real tradeoff is speed of delegation versus control of code. Parcel is built for teams that want developers to own the underlying HTML and component logic, while Taxi for Email is built for teams that want non technical marketers or local teams to assemble approved blocks in a drag and drop interface, then push the finished email into an ESP. That makes Taxi better for self serve execution, and Parcel better for centralized systems that need tighter brand and code consistency.

  • At Zapier, Parcel is the system of record for MJML components, versioning, approvals, feedback, and export into Iterable or HubSpot. The team keeps editing in Parcel, not in the ESP, because central control over components reduces drift and makes rebrands and bug fixes a one file change instead of hundreds of manual edits.
  • Taxi for Email and similar tools are strongest when one central team creates the design system, then many non technical users remix it. ActionRocket used that model for Nespresso, where 64 country teams needed to swap language, images, and links without touching raw email code.
