Rainforest expanding into accessibility and monitoring
Rainforest
The real opportunity is to turn Rainforest from a single testing tool into a broader quality control layer that sits in the path of every release. Rainforest already spins up large fleets of cloud machines, watches what happens in the browser, and feeds results back into CI pipelines. That same execution layer can support nearby products like accessibility checks, synthetic monitoring, and other browser based validation, which is how larger platforms widen spend per customer and make consolidation more attractive.

The playbook already exists. Cypress has moved from pure end to end testing into UI coverage, accessibility, and component testing. BrowserStack has added AI powered accessibility agents on top of its existing cloud testing infrastructure. That shows adjacent quality products can be sold off the same core runtime and workflow.

Incumbents have used acquisitions to assemble broader suites. Tricentis added Waldo for no code mobile testing, alongside earlier expansion into AI driven testing, and now sells a more complete platform to enterprise buyers. Rainforest starting from web end to end testing could use partnerships or M&A the same way to fill product gaps faster than building each module from scratch.

AI coding makes this expansion more urgent and more valuable. As developers use Copilot style tools and ship more code, the bottleneck shifts to validating that the code works, is accessible, and does not break critical flows. GitHub has already made extensions broadly available inside Copilot and added automatic security and quality validation for Copilot coding agent, which pulls testing and validation closer to the code generation step.
The next phase of the market is a merged quality stack where test creation, execution, accessibility, monitoring, and AI code validation sit in one loop around every software change. If Rainforest expands along that path, it moves from helping teams catch UI regressions to becoming part of the default control system for AI accelerated software delivery.
