Bundled AI Commoditizes Slide Generation

Company Report
These platforms offer good-enough AI slide generation at little incremental cost, making it harder for standalone solutions to justify premium pricing.

Bundled AI is turning slide generation into a feature, not a product category. Microsoft, Google, and Apple already own the place where most people make decks, so their AI only needs to be good enough to stop buyers from adding another seat based tool. That shifts the battle for standalone vendors like Prezent away from first draft generation and toward harder to copy enterprise workflows like brand control, approvals, training, and system integrations.

  • Microsoft is the clearest pricing anchor. Microsoft 365 Copilot puts work grounded AI directly inside PowerPoint at $30 per user per month, and Microsoft now also offers a Copilot Business plan starting at $18 per user per month. Once presentation generation sits inside the tool a company already standardizes on, procurement pressure moves against separate presentation AI spend.
  • Google is following the same path. Google says Gemini features are included in Workspace subscriptions, including Gemini in the side panel of Slides. That means many teams get slide assistance as part of a suite they already pay for, which reinforces the idea that baseline AI deck creation should feel bundled, not separately purchased.
  • The surviving standalone products are moving beyond plain slides. Gamma has grown by leaning into web native, interactive outputs rather than just traditional decks, while Tome pivoted toward sales workflows, CRM data, personalization, and analytics. Prezent is taking the enterprise version of that path with brand compliant PowerPoint output, a large slide library, communication fingerprints, and a service layer for human polish.

The market is heading toward a split. Bundles will own everyday slide drafting for the mass market, while independents will win only where the output is tied to a costly business process. For Prezent, that means becoming less like an AI deck maker and more like presentation infrastructure for large companies, especially in regulated and brand sensitive functions.
