Anaconda Monetizes Few Enterprise Accounts

Anaconda

Company Report
a smaller subset of deeply embedded enterprise accounts drives a disproportionate share of revenue.

This revenue mix means Anaconda is not really monetizing its user base evenly, it is monetizing the pain of a few large enterprises that need Python to be secure, approved, and reproducible across thousands of employees and regulated systems. The self serve plans are an entry point, but the biggest dollars sit in custom deployments with SSO, private package channels, self hosted infrastructure, air gapped environments, and paid implementation work, which pushes contract value far above the rough $15,000 implied average.

  • The pricing ladder shows where spend concentrates. Business is $50 per user per month, but larger organizations move into Custom plans with cloud, on premises, hybrid, and air gapped deployment options. That is the profile of an account buying a governed internal software supply chain, not just a few developer seats.
  • The product mechanics support concentration. Anaconda becomes more valuable when a security or platform team sets approved package catalogs, identity controls, vulnerability policies, and reproducible environments for many internal users. Once it is wired into enterprise policy and deployment workflows, expansion is driven by compliance and operational dependence, not casual seat growth.
  • A useful comparison is JFrog. JFrog had 1,168 customers above $100K ARR at the end of 2025, showing how infrastructure software with governance and repository control often skews heavily toward a relatively small set of very large accounts. Anaconda is following a similar pattern inside Python and AI workflows, especially in regulated environments.

Going forward, the largest upside comes from turning package governance into a broader AI control plane. As more enterprises need approved models, datasets, and deployment paths, the accounts already running self hosted or tightly governed Anaconda environments are the ones most likely to widen spend and become even more important to revenue.
