Mintlify’s jump from $10.6M ARR at the end of 2025 to $23M by July 2026 shows that developer documentation has become a system of record for AI agents, not just a help center for humans. The product sits directly in the path of API adoption, because developers and coding agents both read docs before they choose a tool, copy sample code, or send an API call. As agent traffic took most of Mintlify’s doc views, revenue scaled with that new importance.1 2 3

  • Mintlify’s workflow is closer to shipping code than editing a marketing site. Teams keep docs in a git based flow, publish API references and guides, and serve interactive pages that external developers and internal assistants can both parse. That makes the docs page part onboarding funnel, part product surface, and part machine readable input.1 2 4
  • The growth math is unusual for a docs company but familiar for AI infrastructure. Mintlify reached about $500M valuation in its April 2026 Series B, or roughly 36x on about $14M of April revenue, which sits near Vercel’s revenue multiple and below Supabase’s richer multiple. The market is valuing docs infrastructure more like core developer tooling than content software.1 2 5 6
  • Distribution compounds the product. Mintlify says it has onboarded more than 10,000 companies, and its public docs pages process more than 280M monthly content views. Every Powered by Mintlify footer on a high traffic docs site acts like a live demo for the next startup choosing where to host docs, which helps explain how customer count expanded from roughly 1,000 in late 2023.1 2

The next step is for docs to become the default control layer between software companies and coding agents. If more API buying and implementation starts inside Claude Code, Codex, Replit, and similar tools, Mintlify can keep moving upmarket from docs software into agent facing infrastructure, with pricing and product scope increasingly tied to traffic, search, and AI query volume.1 4
