Linktree expands monetization beyond links

Linktree

Company Report
Linktree has significantly expanded its monetization stack beyond these core features
Analyzed 11 sources

Linktree is moving from charging for page features to taking a seat in the creator’s checkout flow and brand deal flow. That matters because subscriptions cap revenue at a few dollars per month, while courses, digital products, bookings, affiliate offers, and brand commissions let Linktree earn when a creator actually sells something. The Fingertip acquisition pushes this further by bringing bookings, payments, and embeds directly into Linktree instead of sending traffic away.1 2 3 4 5 6

  • The new Earn section turns Linktree into a monetization hub. It bundles creator sold products like courses, digital products, and bookings with partner revenue streams like Sponsored Links, Shops, affiliate offers, Rewards, and a Brand Deals profile, all tracked through a central earnings and payout workflow.2 3 4 5 6 7
  • This is the same shift playing out across the category. Stan and Beacons both expanded from simple link routing into storefronts, email capture, scheduling, and creator business tools because the real money sits in helping creators sell, not just helping them organize links. Linktree’s broader stack is a direct response to that market evolution.8 9 10
  • Geography still limits the upside today. Linktree says Shops, Sponsored Links, affiliate opportunities, and Rewards are U.S. only, while direct sales features are available across a wider but still bounded country list. That means the monetization stack is ahead of its global rollout, even as Linktree serves more than 70 million users.2 11

The next phase is clear, Linktree will look more like a lightweight creator commerce operating system than a link page. As more actions happen inside Link Apps, and more creators adopt Earn products, Linktree can raise revenue per active seller and defend itself against store in bio rivals that already monetize closer to the transaction.1 6 8 9 10
