Commure ARR Doubled Three Consecutive Years
Commure
This growth rate shows that Commure is no longer just a point solution vendor, it is becoming a scaled hospital software bundle. The jump from about $10M ARR in 2020 to $104M by March 2024, followed by management saying in June 2025 that ARR had doubled for three straight years and was already in the hundreds of millions, points to a company growing by selling more products into the same health system relationships, not by winning one narrow workflow at a time.1 2 3
- The engine is product breadth. Commure combines enterprise hospital software with Athelas products in revenue cycle management and remote patient monitoring, then adds more modules through M&A. That matters in hospitals, where expansion often comes from selling a new workflow, like billing or ambient notes, into an existing contract.1 2
- The comparison is less with a fast growing SaaS seat based business, and more with Epic and Oracle Cerner style system vendors. Large health systems prefer integrated stacks because every new tool touches patient records, billing, scheduling, and clinician workflows. Commure is trying to assemble that same all in one footprint from the outside.1 4
- The Augmedix deal shows how Commure is using acquisitions to turn adjacent categories into revenue. Commure agreed to buy Augmedix in July 2024 for about $139M in equity value, adding medical documentation and ambient scribing to the bundle, alongside a business that had generated $45M of revenue in 2023.5 6 7
From here, the company is moving toward a much larger test, whether it can turn a collection of hospital tools into a durable core platform. If Commure keeps compounding through cross sell, RCM automation, and ambient documentation, it can keep climbing from a fast grower into a real challenger for hospital software budget that has long defaulted to incumbent EHR vendors.1 3 4 5
