Viz.ai hospital network for trial recruitment

Viz.ai's hospital network becomes increasingly valuable as a clinical trial recruitment and patient identification platform
Analyzed 7 sources

Viz.ai is turning bedside workflow software into a two sided network, where every hospital connection can later be resold to drug companies as a way to find eligible patients inside live care flows. Its core product already sits in urgent clinical decisions, and the newer life sciences deals add disease specific triggers that can surface likely trial candidates or untreated patients at the moment a doctor is reviewing imaging, records, or referrals.1 2 3 4

  • The value comes from distribution that is already installed. Viz.ai says its Salesforce connector brings real time triggers and clinical data from nearly 2,000 hospitals covering 230 million U.S. lives into Agentforce Life Sciences. That gives pharma a way to plug into existing provider workflow instead of building site by site recruitment pipes from scratch.2 4
  • The pharma partnerships show how the network gets monetized. Sanofi and Regeneron are using a COPD workflow that reads EHR data to flag high risk patients, while Novartis is using Viz Oncology for prostate and breast cancer workflows. In practice, this means pharma is paying for disease finding software that can also become a trial funnel once the patient is identified.2 3 4
  • The closest proof point is Tempus. It built clinical trial matching on top of patient data and provider connectivity, then bought Deep 6 AI in March 2025 to add 750 provider sites and more than 30 million patients. Epic is pursuing a similar path with clinical trial matchmaking inside its EHR, which shows this is becoming a real infrastructure layer, not a side feature.5 6 7

The next step is a shift from one off workflow sales toward recurring network revenue from life sciences. As Viz.ai adds more disease modules and more hospitals, the same installed base can support screening, site activation, and patient recruitment across many drug programs, making hospital density and data freshness the company’s main compounding advantages.1 2 3 4 5
