Vanta 24 shows Stark is trying to become a cross domain autonomy prime, not just a drone maker. A 24 meter vessel with a stated 50 tonne payload, 40 plus mph speed, and roles spanning surveillance, cable protection, and strike turns the company from selling single air systems into selling a shared command, sensing, and weapons layer across air and sea. That matters because navies buy mission networks and payload options, not just hulls.1 2 3 4

  • This is the third hull in Stark's Vanta family after Vanta 6 and Vanta 12, so the step to Vanta 24 is less a one off boat launch and more a move up the size ladder. The same research base also ties the maritime push to electronic warfare sensing and software coordination across drones and vessels.2 3 4
  • The closest comparables split the market by mission. Saildrone sells long duration ocean sensing and had estimated 2024 revenue of $43M, while Saronic sells faster armed naval craft and reached an estimated $200M in 2025 revenue at a $9.25B valuation. Vanta 24 sits closer to the armed, tactical end of that spectrum.5 6 7
  • The timing also fits Stark's broader push into frontline procurement. In March 2026 Germany signed an initial order worth about €270M for 2,200 Virtus loitering munitions, and Stark said German army training was due to begin in November 2026. Maritime expansion gives Stark another product line to plug into the same NATO rearmament cycle.2 8

The next step is turning Vanta from prototypes into an operating fleet tied into Minerva and other NATO standard systems. If Stark can make one operator control mixed air and sea assets with the same software, it moves from selling expendable weapons to selling a reusable autonomy stack that can spread across much larger defense budgets.2 4
