Branch is trying to own the handoff layer between every marketing touch and the in app outcome, which turns a narrow attribution tool into infrastructure that multiple teams use every day. That matters because Branch already sits at the moment where a link decides whether someone lands in the app, the app store, or the mobile web, and it is extending that position into paid measurement, owned channels, AI assisted workflows, and compliance heavy use cases.

The next step is a bigger control plane around app journeys. As more discovery starts in AI search, connected TV, email, SMS, and regulated workflows, the valuable vendor will be the one that both routes the user correctly and explains which touch actually drove the result. If Branch keeps bundling routing, measurement, and workflow automation, it can keep moving up from tool to operating system.
