Arctic Wolf's Channel-Only Growth Strategy
Arctic Wolf
A 100% channel model means Arctic Wolf is scaling by turning resellers and MSPs into its field sales force, which keeps customer acquisition broad without building a giant direct team. That fits the product. Arctic Wolf sells an outsourced security operation, so partners can bundle it into existing security, IT, and compliance projects for companies that need outcomes, not another console. The model also helped Arctic Wolf move from SMB roots toward larger accounts while maintaining wide geographic reach.1 2 3 4 5
- This has been a deliberate design choice for years, not a recent tactic. Arctic Wolf announced its move to 100% channel in 2018, and still describes itself that way today. That matters because partners are built into how the company prices, sells, and supports customers, not just how it sources leads.4 5
- The partner base is now a real distribution asset. Arctic Wolf says it has more than 2,000 channel partners globally, and in June 2025 it launched a revamped MSP Partner Program plus Aurora Endpoint Security for MSPs. That gives MSPs more margin and a product they can resell as part of a managed security bundle.2 6 7
- The comparison point is vendors like CrowdStrike and SentinelOne that sell software first and layer services on top. Arctic Wolf started with the service itself. That makes channel partners especially valuable because they already own the customer relationship for IT outsourcing, security resale, or managed services, which is exactly where outsourced SOC buying decisions get made.1 8
From here, the channel becomes even more central as Arctic Wolf pushes further into enterprise and deeper into MSP led distribution. The next leg of growth is less about adding isolated security tools, and more about giving partners a fuller managed security stack they can package, operate, and renew year after year.2 3 7 8
