The real shift is that shipping infrastructure is turning into merchant software. • ShipBob shows what full stack monetization looks like in practice. It grew to an estimated $500M of revenue in 2023 by charging at every step, receiving pallets, storing inventory, pick and pack labor, and parcel shipping, while building a 50 warehouse network aimed at the same non Amazon merchants Flexport wants.

The next phase of competition will be won by whoever becomes the default operating system for merchants moving across Shopify, TikTok Shop, marketplaces, and cross border channels. Flexport has an edge where ocean freight, customs, and fulfillment need to work together, but the market is pulling every player toward one bundled control panel for commerce logistics.
