This move shifts AlphaSense into the system a company depends on every day, not the app a few analysts open when they need outside research. Once internal memos, meeting notes, VDR files, and shared drive documents live in the same search flow as broker research, filings, and expert calls, AlphaSense stops being a nice extra and becomes the place teams go to answer live business questions. That raises seat count, usage frequency, and the cost of ripping it out.1 2 3 4 5

  • The product change is concrete. Enterprise Intelligence lets companies connect internal content to AlphaSense’s external library, now described as 500M plus premium documents, then run one search across both. That means strategy, IR, corp dev, and diligence teams can search old decks and notes next to earnings calls and expert transcripts in one workflow.1 2 3 4
  • This also fixes AlphaSense’s old budget problem. Earlier positioning left it as a complement to FactSet or Capital IQ, where it could be cut first in a budget review. Internal search makes the product useful beyond market data users and pushes it closer to infrastructure software that many teams touch, not just a research add on.5 6 7
  • Owning more proprietary content deepens the lock in. The 2024 Tegus acquisition added expert transcripts, private company content, financial data, and workflow tools, while recent workflow products let deal teams sync thousands of VDR files into dedicated workspaces. The result is a larger private knowledge graph that gets more valuable as more internal and exclusive content accumulates.3 4 8 9

The next step is for AlphaSense to become the operating layer for decision work inside financial firms and large enterprises. As more teams plug in internal repositories and use AI agents on top, AlphaSense can expand from search into repeatable workflows for diligence, monitoring, competitive tracking, and executive prep, which supports larger multi team contracts and makes replacement increasingly unrealistic.2 4 10
