Agencies Replicate Fora Tech Independently
Fora
This is a moat shift from software to network. The core advisor workflow is no longer unique. Travefy now bundles CRM, invoicing, commission tracking, email, and itineraries in one workspace used by 30,000 plus agencies, while Tern and TravelJoy each cover the same daily jobs of building trips, sending proposals, collecting approvals, and keeping client records organized. That means an agency can buy the tools without also buying Fora's host network, brand, and economics.

Travefy has moved closest to a full stack alternative. Its July 2025 CRM launch added contact management, invoices, commissions, and email on top of itineraries, and its May 2026 Travel Leaders Network integration shows these tools can now plug into a major host ecosystem instead of requiring agencies to switch networks.

Tern is attacking the same workflow with AI layered directly into agency operations. Its tools can pull booking details from emails and supplier documents, generate itinerary items, answer questions from CRM and notes data, and capture call transcripts into the trip record. That reduces the manual admin work that once made integrated platforms feel differentiated.

TravelJoy shows how far a standalone tool can go on the client side. Advisors can build proposals and itineraries, offer hotel options, collect payments and card authorizations, convert approved proposals into live itineraries, and give travelers a mobile app. It even supports importing outside proposals, so agencies can keep existing supplier workflows and still match much of the polished front end experience.
The next leg of competition is about who owns demand, supplier relationships, and booking data. As advisor software becomes easier to buy off the shelf, host networks that win will be the ones that help advisors get clients, unlock better hotel perks and commissions, and turn network level transaction data into better tools and better economics.
