Monetizing Reliability in Open Robotics

This is a margin problem disguised as an openness story. Once low cost arms, public datasets, and training code are available to everyone, the thing a buyer might pay for is not the files, it is the boring hard part of keeping robots running, collecting usable demonstrations, and returning trustworthy benchmark results on schedule. The likely next step is a robotics AWS for data and testing. If XDOF can become the default external operator for collecting runs, maintaining hardware, and certifying model performance, openness becomes demand generation rather than a pricing obstacle.
