Sacra estimates that Ultrahuman hit $140M in annualized revenue in August 2026.

The run rate grew about 45% year over year, driven by the resumption of ring sales in the United States after a patent-related interruption and international demand across more than 100 countries. The United States represented about 45% of revenue in the current quarter, while India contributed about 11% and the rest of the world made up the balance.

Smart rings remain the primary revenue source. Ultrahuman has sold approximately 800,000 rings cumulatively, up from roughly 700,000 in February 2026. About 12% of users pay for PowerPlugs subscription software features, which add specialized health algorithms to the core ring experience. Other revenue comes from continuous glucose monitoring through M2 Live, Blood Vision laboratory testing, and the Ultrahuman Home environmental sensor.

Demand for the redesigned Ring Pro was running at 18 to 20 times available US supply after Ultrahuman returned to the American market, making manufacturing capacity the near-term constraint on sales. Ring Pro carries a higher price point than the earlier Ring Air, increasing average order value.

Management expects the run rate to reach $200M by January 2027. Reaching that target depends on scaling Ring Pro production at the company's Texas manufacturing facility and expanding retail distribution in the US, India, and the UAE.

Valuation & Funding

Ultrahuman raised $70M at a $365M valuation in a round announced on September 3, 2026. The round included $65M of primary equity and $5M of debt, with participation from Qualcomm Ventures, Labcorp, Alpha Wave, Blume Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, and Alteria Capital.

CEO Mohit Kumar and Vatsal Singhal co-founded Ultrahuman in Bengaluru in 2019. The company previously raised a Series B in 2024, along with earlier seed and Series A rounds. Steadview Capital, Deepinder Goyal, and other investors participated in prior rounds.

Ultrahuman has raised approximately $141M across all rounds.

Product

Ultrahuman makes a titanium smart ring that continuously records heart rate, heart-rate variability, skin temperature, movement, and blood oxygen signals from the wearer's finger. The ring syncs over Bluetooth to a mobile app, which translates those signals into daily scores for sleep quality, recovery readiness, activity, and circadian alignment. The ring has no screen, so users view all analysis in the app.

A new user orders a sizing kit, pairs the ring, and wears it for up to 14 days while the system calibrates a personal baseline. The app then provides a morning summary comparing the previous night's sleep, resting heart rate, HRV, and temperature deviation with the user's normal range, along with recommendations to adjust bedtime, reduce caffeine, or modify training intensity.

The Ring Pro, which began shipping to US customers in September 2026, has a dual-core processor with on-chip machine learning, up to 15 days of battery life, and a portable charging case that holds roughly 45 days of charge. The ring can store up to a year of data, allowing it to operate for extended periods without a phone connection.

Optional software modules called PowerPlugs add features including AFib detection using licensed FibriCheck technology, a Cycle & Ovulation Pro module built on OvuSense algorithms trained on more than 260,000 cycles, cardio adaptability tracking, and integrations such as a Tesla Drive Readiness Score. Core ring metrics are included with the hardware, while PowerPlugs comprise the subscription layer.

Ultrahuman also sells three related products. M2 Live pairs Abbott's over-the-counter Lingo CGM sensor with Ultrahuman's analytics to track how meals, workouts, and sleep patterns affect glucose. Blood Vision uses partner laboratories for panels covering more than 100 biomarkers and displays the results alongside ring and glucose trends. Ultrahuman Home monitors bedroom air quality, temperature, humidity, light, noise, and particulates, then correlates those conditions with ring-measured sleep.

Jade, the company's conversational AI layer, combines these data streams. Users can ask why recovery was low, whether a glucose spike was related to poor sleep, or how blood markers have changed since the last test. Jade uses ring, CGM, blood, and environmental data to generate responses, making cross-product analysis the primary function of Ultrahuman's broader ecosystem.

Business Model

Ultrahuman uses a vertically integrated, primarily B2C hardware-plus-software model. The smart ring is the entry product, sold as a one-time purchase with lifetime access to core sleep, recovery, and activity data and no mandatory subscription. This contrasts with Oura, which charges $5.99 per month or $69.99 per year for full ring functionality, and Whoop, which bundles its hardware with a recurring membership.

Additional revenue comes from PowerPlugs, which sell specialized algorithms at roughly $24 to $39 per year per module; UltrahumanX, a prepaid membership for device protection and priority support; M2 Live CGM subscriptions, which cost about $99 per month for sensor delivery and coaching; and Blood Vision annual plans, priced around $499. Ring Rare, a luxury gold or platinum variant, includes all current and future PowerPlugs in one premium purchase. This creates a consumer land-and-expand model in which the ring establishes an installed base that Ultrahuman monetizes through software, consumables, and services at progressively higher margins.

Hardware and software have different margin profiles. Ring production requires titanium, sensors, batteries, size-specific inventory across ten sizes, assembly, shipping, retail margins, and warranty replacements, which compress gross margin. PowerPlugs are delivered digitally to existing ring owners at near-zero incremental cost. In FY25, subscriptions represented only about 5% of operating revenue but contributed disproportionately to profitability. Ultrahuman manufactures rings in India and at a US facility in Plano, Texas, through a partnership with SVtronics, providing control over quality and yield and geographic resilience against import disruptions.

Go-to-market combines direct online sales, physical retail, and experience centers. Physical stores are particularly effective in India and the UAE, where hands-on sizing and product education reduce returns and build trust. Ultrahuman may not be profitable in 2026 as it invests in physical retail, brand development, clinical research, and product development. Management wants roughly eight quarters of profitability before an IPO and views 2028 as the earliest listing window.

Competition

Ultrahuman competes across premium smart rings, consumer metabolic health, and integrated preventive-health platforms, three markets converging as wearable companies add blood testing, glucose monitoring, and AI coaching to their tracking products.

Oura and the subscription-led ring ecosystem

Oura has more than five million members, an extensive patent portfolio, and Sacra-estimated revenue of roughly $1B in 2025. Its mandatory subscription funds software development, clinical validation, and distribution across healthcare systems, insurers, employers, and government agencies. Oura's acquisition of metabolic-health company Veri, strategic investment from Dexcom, and in-app blood testing replicate the ring-plus-CGM-plus-diagnostics stack that Ultrahuman treats as its primary differentiator.

Oura's patent enforcement creates an operating constraint for Ultrahuman. The 2025 ITC exclusion order against Ring Air forced Ultrahuman out of its largest market for months and gave Oura roughly 85% US smart-ring share by late 2025. RingConn and Circular settled with Oura and obtained multi-year licenses, while Ultrahuman chose to redesign its hardware and litigate independently, preserving strategic autonomy while retaining litigation risk.

Subscription-free and ecosystem challengers

RingConn is the closest substitute for consumers drawn to Ultrahuman's no-subscription model. RingConn Gen 3 offers up to 14 days of battery life, sleep-apnea pattern insights, and cycle predictions starting at $349, while its Gen 2 Air starts at $199, giving it a broader pricing ladder. Its Oura license removes the US legal overhang that Ultrahuman still carries.

Samsung Galaxy Ring operates with a different cost structure. At $299.99 before trade-ins, Samsung can subsidize ring economics to reinforce its smartphone and smartwatch ecosystem. Native integration with Galaxy phones, watches, and Galaxy AI makes the ring part of a device bundle rather than a standalone health product. The risk for Ultrahuman is that Samsung makes ring-based health tracking a bundled component of the Android premium experience, regardless of whether it builds the most accurate ring.

In India, Gabit has reached 18.3% market share with a ring priced at roughly ₹14,500 and a longevity platform spanning nutrition, blood testing, coaching, and connected hardware. The model is structurally similar to Ultrahuman's at a materially lower price point. Oura entered India in March 2026, adding global premium competition to existing local pressure.

Upstream sensor owners integrating forward

Abbott and Dexcom control the CGM sensors on which Ultrahuman's metabolic-health offering depends. Abbott's Lingo and Dexcom's Stelo are available over the counter in the US and are expanding internationally with their own coaching apps. Dexcom has invested in Oura and integrates Stelo data directly into the Oura app, reproducing much of Ultrahuman's ring-plus-glucose use case through two vendors with established positions in their respective categories.

If Abbott or Dexcom improve their first-party software, consumers may prefer a vertically integrated sensor experience rather than pay for a separate health-intelligence layer. Ultrahuman differentiates through cross-modal interpretation, linking glucose to ring recovery, sleep, blood biomarkers, and environmental conditions. That advantage could erode as upstream players partner with or acquire complementary wearable and analytics companies.

Broader wearable and health-platform pressure

Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit, and Whoop compete for the same consumer wellness budget. Whoop, with Sacra-estimated annualized revenue of $1.1B exiting 2025 and roughly 85% subscription revenue, uses the opposite monetization model from Ultrahuman but targets the same continuous recovery and strain use case.

Eight Sleep competes in sleep optimization through active temperature intervention rather than passive measurement. Function Health and similar longevity-subscription services compete with Blood Vision for ownership of the longitudinal consumer health record.

TAM Expansion

Ultrahuman's expansion strategy uses the smart ring as an always-on identity anchor, then adds sensors, software modules, and services to capture more of each user's health spending over time.

From health tracker to ambient computing platform

Qualcomm and Ultrahuman are developing a ring using Qualcomm silicon that can run more applications and algorithms on the device. Planned uses include AI interaction, game controls, pointer or mouse functions, car keys, and third-party applications. Some controller, AI-interaction, and developer features are expected to reach Ring Air and Ring Pro through software updates before the Qualcomm-based hardware ships.

This would expand Ultrahuman's addressable category beyond health wearables into human-computer interfaces, authentication, gaming peripherals, and ambient AI devices. If external developers build applications using ring data and on-device capabilities through Ultrahuman's OAuth APIs and UltraSignal raw-sensor program, PowerPlugs could develop from optional health add-ons into a controlled app marketplace with platform economics.

Women's health and condition-specific monitoring

The acquisition of viO HealthTech added clinically derived ovulation-confirmation algorithms designed for irregular cycles and conditions such as PCOS and endometriosis. Combined with the Clue partnership for historical cycle data, these capabilities extend Ultrahuman into fertility planning, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and potentially perimenopause and menopause. This model parallels Natural Cycles and Maven Clinic but relies on passive ring biomarkers rather than manual logging.

The same acquire-and-distribute model applies to other conditions. AFib detection uses licensed FibriCheck technology, respiratory analytics come from Sleep Cycle, and migraine tools draw on Click Therapeutics. Each partnership adds a specialized PowerPlug without requiring Ultrahuman to build the clinical workflow from scratch. The 12% paid attach rate leaves room to increase adoption as more modules reach the roughly 800,000-ring installed base.

Geographic and channel expansion

The US remains the largest market at 45% of quarterly revenue, but Ultrahuman temporarily lost most of its US ring-sales capability during the patent dispute, exposing the risk of geographic concentration. Physical retail and experience centers in India and the UAE have converted customers, and the company plans to expand its offline presence in both markets using proceeds from the September 2026 financing.

Labcorp's participation as an investor and prospective strategic partner could accelerate Blood Vision's expansion into new US states and, eventually, international markets. Combining Labcorp's collection infrastructure and clinical presence with Ultrahuman's continuous monitoring and consumer interface could make the diagnostics layer more difficult for single-device wearable competitors to replicate. It could also extend Ultrahuman into employer wellness, insurer partnerships, and clinical research channels, where Strava, Function Health, and other adjacent platforms compete.

Risks

Patent exposure: The 2025 ITC exclusion order against Ring Air showed that a single competitor's patent portfolio can interrupt access to Ultrahuman's largest market, require an expensive hardware redesign, and shift market share to rivals, while Ring Pro's redesigned architecture does not eliminate the risk of future infringement claims as Ultrahuman expands into new ring functions, medical algorithms, and on-device computing.

Hardware concentration: Smart rings generated more than 90% of operating revenue in the most recent full fiscal year, exposing Ultrahuman to component shortages, manufacturing yield, battery degradation, sizing returns, and warranty costs in a single product category, while the 12% PowerPlug attach rate indicates that the higher-margin software layer is not yet large enough to sustain the business if ring sales slow.

Upstream sensor dependence: Ultrahuman's metabolic-health offering relies on Abbott's CGM sensors, while its blood-testing service depends on third-party laboratories, creating exposure to supplier pricing changes, allocation decisions, or forward integration by Abbott, Dexcom, or Labcorp that could compress margins, restrict product availability, or create a directly competing vertically integrated alternative.
